What this verse is saying, and where it sits in the story.

Kṛṣṇa and Arjuna’s Conchshells

  1. 1Lord Kṛṣṇa and Arjuna sounded their transcendental conchshells from a great chariot drawn by white horses.
  2. 2Unlike Bhīṣmadeva’s conchshell, their conchshells are described as transcendental.
  3. 3Their sound showed that the other side had no hope of victory, because Kṛṣṇa was with the Pāṇḍavas.
  4. 4Victory and fortune awaited Arjuna. Wherever Kṛṣṇa is present, the goddess of fortune is also present.
  5. 5Agni, the fire-god, had given Arjuna the chariot. It could conquer all sides throughout the three worlds.
