The yogic situation is that of detachment from all sensual engagements. Closing all the doors of the senses and fixing the mind on the heart and the life air at the top of the head, one establishes himself in yoga.

Understand it

What this verse is saying, and where it sits in the story.

Fixing the Mind on Kṛṣṇa

  1. 1Yoga means withdrawing from sense enjoyment, fixing the mind on the heart, and placing the life air at the top of the head.
  2. 2Prabhupāda explains that controlling the senses helps the mind focus on the Supersoul in the heart, but this practice is not practical in this age.
  3. 3Choose Kṛṣṇa consciousness, the best process: keep your mind on Kṛṣṇa in devotional service to remain undisturbed in samādhi.
